<title>A contribuição da psicanálise winnicottiana na etiologia, diagnóstico e tratamento do TDAH em crianças</title>

<description>Título: A contribuição da psicanálise winnicottiana na etiologia, diagnóstico e tratamento do TDAH em crianças
Abstract: In the last 50 years we have observed a movement in psychiatry in the direction of biologization and medication of mental disorders, including the Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). This trend is currently quite normalized, however, requires attention, as it involves risks, especially for children. The objective of this study is, given the current context in relation to the description, the diagnosis, treatment and medicalization of ADHD, to enable an understanding of the disorder in the light of Winnicottian psychoanalysis, as a fundamental contribution to new pathways in approaching the topic, with the diagnoses and treatments that emphasizes the importance of a better and more complex etiology for its symptoms. For this purpose, a literature review was carried out to analyze the history of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) and the emergence of ADHD, as well as its current context, the increasing use of medications (such as methylphenidate), and what studies and research indicate about the causes of mental disorders. Likewise, a qualitative theoretical research was carried out on Winnicott's complete work, theory and clinical cases, including the theoretical aspects that help to understand ADHD from a Winnicottian perspective, and the practical cases that can illustrate the treatment carried out in specific cases and their results. By investigating and analyzing these cases, this study found connections between the presented cases, the Winnicottian theory and the symptoms described in ADHD, making it possible to propose a Winnicottian view of the etiology, form of diagnosis and possible treatments for infant and adolescent patients who present symptoms similar to those described in ADHD, although the definition of this disorder has not been contemporary with the time in which Winnicott lived and worked. In this sense, the present study demonstrates that (i) there is a wide range of possible etiologies of ADHD, the reason why health cannot be based on the normatization of behaviors or eradication of symptoms; (ii) the family environment must be considered, to the extent that it is relevant to the diagnosis; (iii) a multifactorial etiology does not mean the impossibility of diagnosis and treatment. In the light of Winnicottian psychoanalysis, this means considering health in a broader way, understanding the causes that feed the symptoms and making diagnoses focused on investigating the roots of the suffering. Thus, this study contributes to the work that already exists in the direction of scientific production's value and the knowledge of various disciplines. Also, presents an initial discussion on the vision of ADHD according to Winnicottian psychoanalysis, with the expectation of opening new pathways to debate, including the discussion of current clinical cases, and ways of making diagnosis and treating our children

<title>O evolucionismo darwinista na psicanálise freudiana e um pouco além</title>
      <link>https://repositorio.pucsp.br/jspui/handle/handle/46469</link>
<description>Título: O evolucionismo darwinista na psicanálise freudiana e um pouco além
Abstract: The study proposed that Darwinian evolutionism was present in Freud's work from beginning to end, serving as an inspirational and guiding foundation for basic notions about the process that gave rise to the human mind, as well as the nature and purpose of at least some of its mechanisms. There is a tradition of authors who have already addressed the topic and offered adequate support for the thesis. The proposal of this work immediately presented adjacent problems, referring to the consequences of an alignment with Darwinian evolutionary thinking and even the existence of psychoanalysts throughout the last century who perceived and attempted to answer this question. The next step was to investigate whether understanding this particular aspect of Freud's work led to attempts to continue the project with new additions and connections to clinical practice. It was known that, at least along with Freud, other psychoanalysts also shared the same interest explicitly, but the subsequent paths seemed unclear at first. Finally, it seemed important to find out whether scholars of evolution— especially in evolutionary psychological and psychiatric studies—identified this same characteristic in Freud, and whether there were attempts to bring the two areas closer together on both sides. To this end, a study of depression from an evolutionary perspective was conducted. Thus, it was necessary to find out whether Freudian psychoanalysis was successful in attempting to participate in this evolutionary project, even indirectly, which would be proven by its usefulness, at any level, to studies in the field focused on psychological aspects

<title>A presença de animais no processo analítico</title>
      <link>https://repositorio.pucsp.br/jspui/handle/handle/45486</link>
<description>Título: A presença de animais no processo analítico
Abstract: The presence of non-human animals in clinical settings appears to occur spontaneously in the work of mental health professionals. Boris Levinson was the first psychologist to document his work with animals within the clinical setting, in 1969. Currently, there are divergences in terminology within the scientific community, as it remains an emerging field. Nevertheless, Animal-Assisted Psychotherapy has shown significant results across all age groups, particularly in cases of depression and trauma. In Brazil, the presence of animals in psychotherapy offices does occur, although it is not always labeled under the same terminology or even documented in academic literature. This study aimed to investigate the presence of an animal connected to the therapist in the psychotherapeutic process. It was an exploratory mixed-methods study, which involved both a questionnaire and interviews to achieve its objective. Thirty-six professionals responded to the questionnaire about their experiences with animals in clinical settings, and ten were selected for the interview phase. From the data analysis, five theoretical concepts were developed using grounded theory: the role of animals in sessions, the inclusion of animals in clinical practice, established connections, clinical management, and meanings attributed to animals. In conclusion, although some professionals intentionally include animals in therapy, they still lack adequate and accessible theoretical tools. Further research is needed with a larger sample

<title>Experiência psicossocial de cuidadores no câncer, final de vida e luto: metassíntese</title>
      <link>https://repositorio.pucsp.br/jspui/handle/handle/45476</link>
<description>Título: Experiência psicossocial de cuidadores no câncer, final de vida e luto: metassíntese
Abstract: The world population is aging, with a concomitant rise in the number of people with debilitating diseases and complex needs. Consequently, demand for palliative care is growing globally. Caring for terminally ill loved ones at the end of life can be distressing, impacting the process of bereavement and loss after death experienced by informal caregivers. Thus, support through grief should be considered an essential component of palliative care services, encompassing the period after loss. However, significant gaps are observed in evidence-based guidance aimed at supporting health professionals in decision-making related to the assessment of protective and risk factors associated with adverse grief outcomes, as well as in the implementation of appropriate bereavement interventions. There is a dearth of studies addressing the psychosocial needs and preferences of caregivers in palliative care. The factors reducing the risk of complicated grief, both before and after the loss of a loved one, are poorly understood, particularly in cases of advanced illness. Prompted by the need to bridge these gaps in the literature, this study aims to understand the psychosocial experience of caregivers as they undergo bereavement in the context of end-of-life care for a loved one with advanced cancer and following the loss, through a metasynthesis of qualitative studies. Thus, a systematized review involving six databases was performed. The contents were analyzed and incorporated into a thematic synthesis, from which three analytical themes emerged: (1) The complexity of the caregiver´s experience from care to bereavement; (2) The complexity of the integrated psychosocial support network in the journey from care to bereavement; and (3) The transition from care to farewell: overlaps of gradual decline, suffering, and psychosocial needs. Results showed that significant caregivers had unmet psychosocial needs and reported burden throughout the trajectory of end of life and bereavement. The findings also underscore the importance of developing psychosocial support initiatives tailored to the needs of these caregivers, and of implementing psychosocial interventions after loss, centered on reconstructing their identities and supporting them in the process of detachment from the caregiver role. Gaining a clearer understanding of the distress and psychosocial needs of significant caregivers in this context, as well as associated protective and risk factors, can help improve integrative psychosocial care strategies
